Technical Recruiter

iSTOX is Asia's first fully regulated STO exchange platform based on blockchain technology. We are licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, with seed investments by the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Temasek (Heliconia). We are in the business of innovating capital markets with blockchain technology, and building the next-generation exchange platform to facilitate connection between users and holders of capital in a regulated and transparent marketplace for tokenized offerings.

We are seeking a Technical Recruiter to be a part of our HR team and help us grow our Engineering team. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment, and with a group of exceptionally outcome focused self-starters who want to make a difference. The focus is to build a strong tech talent pipeline to help hire and retain good tech talents as our business grows. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical and tech-related roles. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best professionals.

Establish and implement an effective end-to-end recruitment process:

  • Coordinate with tech leads to forecast department goals and hiring needs
  • Develop recruitment strategy to reach top tech/tech-related talents and scale our recruiting practice
  • Communicate with tech leads to write and post technical job descriptions
  • Source potential candidates on niche platforms, like Stack Overflow and Github
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities and fit
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioural questions)
  • Negotiate offers to candidates, leveraging experience with recruiting tech talents
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals
  • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work
  • Take on other non-technical searches where necessary eg. Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Risk


  • Proven organisational skills
  • 7-10 years' experience as a Technical Recruiter (in-house / agency)
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and/or experience working in a start-up like environment is a plus
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for tech/tech-related roles
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. Phone, Zoom, Structured)
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labour legislation
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
